Got one of these from a coworker. I had to make a blade guard and table insert. I got my blade via The Home Depot. I will need new tires eventually. Otherwise, it seems to be running very well.

Great ideas and execution. I'd like to see what it looks like with all the small parts in it and how you like it after a year of use. Great to see the use of existing materials and the planning that went into it.

What size is the blade? I have ordered six blades and none of them fit! Last one is 56-7/8 and looks like it might fit. A placard on side says when ordering parts say made in Taiwan.

You're right... the regulator manifold was a B^$%# to get off. Big problem though. What I ordered from Master Tool Repair was was not the same manifold as the original... not even a mail fitting from the manifold to the tank (even though I have the same model of compressor as you). If Master Tool can't get me the right part, my trusty old compressor is toast now.

Thanks for this video. I inherited my bandsaw from my brother and it needs a new blade. I'm ordered it and it should be here within the week. That being said, I had no instruction manual to rely on. Looking forward to continued use of this tool. I appreciate your efforts. Your directions sound easy to follow and I will use the clamp suggestion.

I was having trouble with tracking and I decided to check for a video and found yours. Nice video but you sort of ended up like there was no adjustment for tracking! My bearings were good so I thought maybe I would try a shim and I discovered there is an adjustment screw for the top pulley. you an simply use a 1/8 allen wrench to move the blade front or back on the drive pulley!

Got mine out of a scrap metal bin.......thought I could fix the slingshot blade.......turns out be be a very flawed design. The three wheels should have had a outer raised edge to prevent the blade from slipping off. Yes a lip on the outer edge of the wheels it could dull the blade but really if you are spending hours putting the blade back on the wheels instead of cutting wood what is being accomplished? The drive wheel does have on raised edge on the inner side though. 7:50 If you are missing this roller bearing on your guide block, the show is basically over for this saw.

Hello MakinSawdust, Very nice work on the video for your Craftsman Contractor Table Saw! I have learned a lot already. I’m not sure but I think I heard you say in one of your videos that you may have access to sources where we can find parts for these older table saws. I have a Sears Craftsman 10 Model 113-29834C Table saw in Canada. I have the complete Blade Guard apparatus but I am missing the mounting assembly for the Blade Guard. Specifically it looks like I am missing Part Numbers 62642 (Spreader Support), 62643 (Spreader Clamp) and 62644 (Bracket) from one of the old manuals I downloaded. Can you provide any ideas where these parts may be sourced and located in Canada OR the US? Thanks again! Mike

Hello! I have subscribed and gave a thumbs up! I have a Sears Craftsman Model 113-29834C table saw in Canada here and purchased it from Facebook Marketplace as well. I think it is about 1981-1984 vintage as I downloaded a manual that is very, very close to what it looks like but the model number is slightly different. The saw came with a complete blade guard EXCEPT for the mounting hardware. I am nervous about using it without a blade guard or riving knive. I think you mentioned about the 7:30 mark that you would be designing an insert with a splitter. Did you ever make that video and add a splitter to your machine? Thanks! Mike

I can print hard pla & some carbon fiber. also had a question. When your as tight as possible but the blade visibly wobbles, is that a tension issue or guide blocks? Could the blade be warped/stretched or is it more likely a crappy tension job

I couldn’t help but notice the gas-fired water heater with the ‘“Gas-Can” warning sign. Combustible dusts can be just as hazardous as flammable gas vapors. A carpentry shop in the basement with natural gas-fired water heater is very risky!
